Wulfenite on Dolomite   Apex Mine, San Carlos. Manuel Benavides Municipality, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Ex. Caroline Les collection.  This large specimen is 10.5 x 6.3 x 3.3 cm.  The crystal stand on edge, are reddish orange colored, and have a lightly frosted appearance (due to a thin coating, on some faces, of what appears to be quartz).  They rest on a thick bed of dolomite.  The best crystal has and unusual “L” shape.  There is one crystal missing near the top of the piece and a chipped crystal near its base.  The specimen rests on its edge displaying nicely.  $175
