Titanite     Rose Road Wollastonite Occurrence, Pitcairn, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected by Michael Walter.  I rarely let exceptionally fine specimens from St. Lawrence County go easily but I have a couple just like this one.  You will not find an example this good for sale as they are coveted by NY and Northeast US collectors.  This competitive grade TN measures 2.8 x 2.3 x 2.7 cm.  It is a rare (for this location) floater with excellent luster, form and Translucence/transparency.  Very, VERY minor crazing along an area of bottom edge visible with magnification.  It is a deep brown, purplish color.  Exceptional.  $275
