Schorl     Mungo, Shigar Valley, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan.  Beautifully formed, singly-terminated crystal.  This crystal looks black at a quick glance but is actually a deep brown.  When lit correctly there are flashes of a deep brown color as you look into the translucent surfaces of the crystal.  Translucence is never very deep but it is attractive.  Extremely high luster, deep striations and a complex termination gives this fine crystal a great deal of character.  It stands nicely on end for display, too.  Small chip on very back of crystal.  145$
