Garnet   Gore Mountain, North Creek, New York.  Ex. Dr. George Robinson collection.  This stone is 3 ct. in weight (which is about as large as you'd want it to be because they don't pass light well when too large).  It is the fine deep red expected from the material from this locality.  It is a bit expensive for the material due to the provenance.  It is a great New York Sate stone faceted by the undisputed expert on New York State minerals!  $300
