Fluorapatite in Calcite     Tory Hill, near Bancroft, Ontario, Ex. Jay Walter collection.  This large fluorapatite rests in buff colored calcite and measures 8.7 cm long.  The piece is 11 x 10.5 x 8 cm overall.  The color of the crystal is a nice medium blue color contrasting well with the calcite.  It is doubly-terminated and looks to be both reattached to the calcite and repaired.  This is an unusual find as I know this region well but am unsure which of the numerous fluorapatite localities produced these blue crystals.  Most areas here produced green specimens.  Sits nicely for display as seen in the photographs.   $175
