Fluorite      Weardale, Durham, England.  Ex. Bill Metropolis.  This is rather uncommon for this classic fluorite county.  Clear fluorite!  The background matrix makes them appear somewhat yellow.  This fine plate of fluorites is 9.2 x 6.2 x 2.8 cm in size with crystals to 1.7 cm on edge.  The large twin on the edge of the plate is a thing of beauty with one of the crystals being tabular.  The crystals are transparent and of good luster.  I see only two tiny dings and can only find them under magnification, so the piece displays as if it were totally damage-free.  FLUORESCENT red in SW and even brighter red/purple in LWUV light.  An excellent piece in so many ways.   $220
