Calcite   Empire State Mine, Level 4,047, Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York.  Collected May 2023.  This example is 10.2 x 8.2 x 5 cm and is a highly lustrous crystal with nice light purple color and attractive complex surfaces.  Minor, small pyrrhotite crystals on surface of piece.  Cleaved base.  Tiny, white, healed contact of surface.  Nice transparency and well-priced for this material.  $800
