Azurite with Malachite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Mun. de Santa Cruz, Sonora, Mexico. 2013 Pocket. Of all the material produced in this important find, I believe, this pocket has produced the finest quality of specimens discovered at Milpillas. The luster and rich blue color is the finest known for azurite, only surpassed by the great material from Tsumeb and perhaps some of the finest Moroccan specimens. I was able to hand pick the few at the 2014 Tucson show and was thrilled at their individual quality and the price. Without argument these will soon become modern day classics. 2.7 x 2.7 x 1.7 cm overall. A large damage free single crystal with a spray of fibrous malachite near its base. The typical blue luster (not quite as vibrant as most). Everything is damage-free. Nice views all around. A nice example of this modern day classic for a really good price. $40
